5770 - Stopped responding... ?!?!

In the past 10 mins my screen has flash white froze for few seconds.. then notified me the drivers stopped responding after it recovered !?

its also flashed green spots up over the screen couple times..!!?!

Only got card today... seemed to work fine earlier with games, anyone else getting these problems?
cant be heat...side my case has been off for time being.

There seem to be a few people here with similar problems with ATi cards. Seemingly fine in games, but VPU recovers in windows when idling along. May be something to do with the new cards, or drivers. No obvious solution as of yet, but hopefully something will come along.

Yes - same problems with a 5770 under Win7 x64. Seems to happen a few seconds after resuming from hibernation. Anyway, these are beta drivers though (Cat. 9.11)

I get this with my 5770. I am using the October 13th drivers. It seems to play games just fine but does this at random intervals when using the windows desktop. It's really starting to bug me know as sometimes it just lock up and the driver does not recover although windows processes seem to continue. I have tried it on Vista 64 and Windows 7 64 both do the same.

Looks like we will have to wait until Catalyst 9.11 gets certified and stable.
