580 3 gig against the 680

im ready to up grade from a 6850.

looking at either a evga or gainward 3 gig 580 or a 680.

iv xfired before so dont want to go back to it found it casued to many poblems.

what do guys think?

never thought about the 79xx. always had ati thought i would try nvidia.

dont have much faith in ati's drivers anymore

What's the rest of your system and what resolution do you game at?

680 might be a bit overkill. A 7950 at just over £300 is probably the better choice for most gamers.

i have an i5 2500k at 4.5
asrock fatality z68 pro gen 3
4 gig corsair xms3 1333
msi 6850
all on a 21" samsung @1980x1080.

im goin to up the monitor to an ips of some kind.
