5800 Xpress Music web browser issue

Hi guys,

Vodafone have loaned me a 5800 whilst they attempt to fix my N97.

The web browser randomly closes itself whilst I am browsing.

Does it do this because this is another poor quality, buggy phone from Nokia or is there something I am doing wrong?

it has to do with another buggy phone from Nokia , many others have reported the same issue.

Nothing your doing wrong...its just a shoddy built phone from nokia...my gf had one but i smashed it against the wall and got her a new BB for her bday

...shes much more happier now.

Most likely the phone running out of RAM, so the first answer, I guess.

Opera Mobile 10 Beta is a worthy (and free) alternative.

^^ yep the stock browser on the 5530 runs out of memory.. but the opera mini handles it well!

Mine does it at least a couple of times a day, It's very annoying and the last three updates to the phone have solved nothing. I think I will give opera a go, It can't be any worse!

Weird because mine has never done it. However I'm using Opera and have never used the Nokia browser.

mine has never done this. i've never had a more stable phone for browsing tbh. maybe you got a bad one?? is it sim free? if they've leant it to you then i would guess not. mine is sim free and has been pretty much solid.
