5800x and 360mm AIO, are my temps too hot?

I have a 5800x and ML360R, i feel like my cooler isn't doing a great job, im hitting 90c at stock and around 4.0-4.1ghz multi core CB23.

With curve optimiser and PBO2 enabled this is slightly better and i get ~4.6ghz (4575mhz) all core, but my temps are still in the upper 80s (87-89c).

Rad fans are maxed out, and pump is max speed. Its exhausting up in my NZXT H710. I thought it might be an airflow issue, so i even opened the case side panel, but temps didn't change.

Is there something possibly wrong with my cooler or chip?

What temps are people getting with a 5800x and 360mm aio under load at 4.6ghz?

Any advice?

Thanks

Yeah i think they should have a part thread so they only go so far
Okay, so i just repasted and tightened the screws, so far i dont think i see a temperature change. if anything maybe 1-2c but that could be due to lower ambient temp now that its night.

One thing i did notice is, one of the screws seems to be much tighter than the other one. But they both are tightened all the way (as much as my fingers let me). Its at a weird angle too, not sure if this is causing the cooler to not sit flat?

I took some pictures. https://imgur.com/a/oYN3mcj

That angle does look off, you sure you got the square bit under the hook on the plastic mount and not on the edge?
What do you mean by on the edge? I'm pretty sure it was completely in place. But yeah it does seem really odd that one of them is bent like that and the other isn't. IMO temps are bad for an AIO of this size? Something isn't right surely? 90c at stock with full pump and fan speed.

Edit: had a look again and took some pictures. The top mount looks fine, not sure about the bottom? https://imgur.com/a/4M68ubS

Personally your pump is probably screwed. If mounting and everything is fine, then what other possibility is there? You can try another AIO or Air cooler.
Yeah it probably is. It's running at 2400rpm. To be honest I have heard some odd noises from it sometimes, so maybe it's going bad. My temps have always been like this so maybe I got a dud unit. Unfortunately it's out of warranty too.

I might get another cooler and test/ compare it. Any recommendations on 360mm aios that aren't too expensive and look relatively decent?

I hear the Arctic ones are great, as are the EKWB models.

Well if swapping the cooler does not make a difference, then I guess the CPU is bust maybe.
Yup, Im pretty sure the CPU is okay, it might not be the greatestly binned chip, but i think its not too bad. Cos i previously had a 3800x and its temperatures were pretty high (not as high as the 5800x tho) with this cooler too. I thought it was just natural ryzen temps.

Thoughts on the Corsair H150i Elite Capellix?

99% of them are all Asetek, it will be fine.

I'm just installing one in mine today, they should be angled like that and they both should match, you got to really crank on the thumb screws, mines got 3 to 4mm thread sticking out
