I'm running 3600 myself. I don't game so it's a good CPU still doing well, but mine run quite warm, like it's 45c just surfing web. Re-mounted cooler, even tried bigger cooler and had same temps. Full load is fine between 70c and 80c. but hotter than I expected at low load. I assume the upgrade in performance from 3600 to 5800x3d is obvious?

In gaming definitely. General day to day use , surfing etc i see no difference.
Going from 3600 to 5800x3d has increased my WZ2.0 FPS by 30-35% though. I would say it just feels a much smoother experience overall.
I ran 3d Mark time spy before installing and this is what i got

A big leap in CPU score, now its my 3060ti holding it all back but i currently game at 1440p so while prices are daft for graphics cards i'm happy to hold on until the inevitable move to 4k.

The best way to enable it is via your bios if your motherboard supports it. Saves messing about with windows task scheduler.
