5800x3d temps?

Can i now update the bios with the 5800x3d then? as i had to update it to use the 5800x3d with my old 3800x because this motherboard was designed for earlier cpus

My temps are pretty good in all games ive played except the battlefield games so i guess its not a big deal, although i would like to know i could undervolt should i need to in the future

Guess i could use pbo tuner as looks easy to use from the youtube video ive seen, but didnt really want another program running in the background

Thanks for advice
If you are unable to enable kombo strike via the BIOS setting up PBOtuner is relatively painless. It uses windows task scheduler to enable the curve offset upon startup and shouldn't leave anything else running in the background. There's a step by step guide available on the github along with the files needed to get it up and running.

Downloaded pbo tuner and set all cores to -10 just to be safe lol tried battlefield 2042 and temps are around 8c lower :) now they seem to hit 65c max instead of 70s up to 75c

My cpu power hasnt changed though as its running at 4.450ghz which it always was but at least temps are better

Thanks all

Im on 7B79vHE there is a new one that was released the 8th of this month i think and another not long after the one im on
Latest bios does have a security patch and may have Kombo Strike.

Nice work.

Are you gonna try lower?

As a point of reference, i have Kombo Strike set at 3 (-30) and get a slight boost to 4.550ghz @ 1.131v. Max temp was 58c, but i have a big CPU cooler attached.

EDIT

This was just a quick bench test.

Yep i tried -20 and all seemed to run good, slightly less temps again but no boost to cpu, im happy just with the cooler temps tbh but may be brave and try -30 lol
