Hi,
I have a upgrade itch very bad!, I would like to get another 5850 gfx!, but what i would like to know would it make any noticable differents to my rig now? (my spec is in my sig). i play all my games on the max out setting and it runs really smoth apart from crysis as that drops fps down to 30ish! I know the 5850 is gr8 card and i have no problems with it at all but i just want to add another bit of hardware to my pc tbh.
OR
Should i sell my 5850 and get a different gfx?

i have £200ish to spend.

Thanks

Do eeeeet!

A single 5850 meant I had to turn off AA in Just Cause 2 (had it at 4x with my crossfire 5770s), but now I can max anything I throw at my machine at 1080p. :D

I added another 5850 just recently and have seen a big improvement, definetely recommend it.
I reckon you might benifit even more as my cpu is 3ghz and yours is 4.
Just for the record, I've not noticed any micro-stutter yet, been playing Crysis and Metro 2033 at max settings as well.

thank you very much for your replys :D.
If i per-order now do i have to pay now? or on the 24th? (silly question i know but i'm not sure).
so the 5850 is still a good card then i take it?.
EDIT:
i have a Sapphire make 5850 is that ok to run with the MSI?.
also will my PSU be able to run both of them? i have this one:

5850 will beat a 580 gtx ^^^so yes they are good cards!
Especially so, in the light that 69## turned out to be a bit lemony...

Oh if u preorder on ocuk u have to pay now. :-(

i was just about to post up the exact question, i dont need an upgrade but i just want one and my system is almost exactly the same as yours only im on stock cooler (for now)

It's in my sign...the Thermalright Silver Arrow, the best (and probably one of the biggest) air cooler around. My Q6600 idle at around 28-35C, and never gone above 62C in prime. My CM690II has very good air-flow and with 8 fans (not including the two 140MM fans on the Silver Arrow :p).

I say don't bother getting the H70. It is a a nice cooler, but £70 is too steep. You can get a decent air cooler for half the price (£30~) that's already more than good enough for cooling the overclock Q6600. The reason I got a Silver Arrow was because I managed to get it from the member's market 2nd hand for just £35 delivered (the Silver Arrow cost £50-£55 new).
