5850 + hdmi lead

yo guys sicne my monitor and gfx card both have HDMI slot i was thinking aobut using a HDMI lead only problem is will this limit my resolutions... ie. will i still be able to at game 1024x768 etc... as i dont play all my games in 1080!

Yes, it will work absolutely fine whatever resolution you set. Not sure why you're running games at 1024x768 though if you've got a 5850.

just css m8, allways used 800x600 res so thats what i use. all my other games i play 1920x1080 like dirt2/nf:shift/bf2/mw2 etc etc.

Can I ask why you use a lower resolution? It can't be frame rates, since a 5850 will easily handle 120FPS at any res with source games. It can't be a CRT if you're considering a HDMI lead (unless there's a CRT with HDMI that I don't know about). Spill the juice

becasue i'm used to it also if i use 1920x1080 i have to track my mouse further then i do when in 800x600 and the models are bigger in smaller resolutions. simple really... but effective!
