Hi Guys,

I am planning on getting another 2 screens at 22inch full HD, but would it be worth it getting another 2 5850's? I have a 1000w Psu at the moment.

Or are the 6970's in crossfire better?

Thanks?

Tri-fire 5850s aint the best at scaling and would probably be a lot of hassle to be fair.
I'd sell the 5850 and go for two 6950 2GBs which would suffice for a 3 monitor setup.

If you are planning eyefinity you will want to go with a setup with more than 1GB of VRAM. I think a pair of 2GB 6950s would be a better setup choice (in my opinion they offer better value for money than 9670s)

This. Even if you can't unlock the 6950s, they overclock to nearly 6970 speeds anyway.

Thanks, is it worth getting the toxic edition of the 6950's or are the standard reference cards enough?

There's a chance that the Toxic edition may still unlock to a 6970. The Toxic also features a better PCB, VRAMS all of which add up to potentially better overclocking. For me the standard 6950 is more then enough but there is value to be had from the Toxic edition if your into overclocking.
