*** 5850 Updates ***

Thought I would centralise the 5850 information. There will be no 5850 Product arriving in our warehouse today. There are three shipments of product arriving currently two from Powercolor and one from Sapphire. There is plenty of stock due to cover back orders with a fair chunk left for re-sale.

This stock is due (not 100%) to be with us Monday morning as long as there are no issues with the consignments.

Anyone who wishes to change over for a Sapphire 5870 I am able to offer a £10 discount.

Sorry for the delay guys it really is out of my hands if there was anyway for me to speed this up I would.

does anyone know if there is any difference between the powercolor and sapphire, apart from the dirt game and packaging, are any technically better - they look identical, never had either brand - or ati.

ok thanks for the update fatboy, looks like my motherboard and ram are on the way soon anyway, if i get my new cpu tomorrow aswell i can build the most of it up, get the card on tuesday and its a quick fix up.

Hi Fatboy i know you busy but do you know if i change my order to a 5870 will it run on this board Gigabyte P35-DS3L that supports pci-e 2.0 ?

Yes it will work fine no probs.

Just worked out that after all back orders have shipped on the PowerColor part we will have 20 pcs spare.

On the Sapphire we will have 40 pcs Spare.

I believe it is exclusive to the Asus Cards.

Wouldn't leave it too late m8 to be fair. 5870's are nearly all gone. WOuld say about 4 would be the absolute latest.
