5870 xfire users help please

Just tried bioshock and that still has fps issues. that is an older game though. I need to install better games lol i just cannot be arsed. FEAR 2 is the most recent game i have. And i remember that ran fine with crossfire.

Dont know what else to suggest,i feel your pain as this is the worst thing with multi gpus setups,have you tried other drivers,no doubt u have.
have you tried rivatuner (D3D Overrider) and forced Vsync ,triple buffering ive found that smooths outs some games!
Have you tried to change the catalyst AI from advanced to standard?

I run crossfire 4890's and have no issues with crossfire in COD MW2 with both 9.10's and 9.11's it runs perfect max everything!

Win 7 X64 + 9.11's work fine in crossfire here!

yeah ive just changed my PCIE freq to 101 and i have perfect frames now,wish i thought of that earlier as i was on the verge of selling one of 5870s

It did for me with my old 8800GTX SLI set up, I had bad stuttering and reduced FPS, changing to 101 they ran sweet as a nut

Have tried this and perhaps too early to say but it would appear to have helped somewhat so thanks for that. Don't remember altering it from 101 to auto but hey, that's what it was set to for some unknown reason.

Yes ive tried a lot minus older drivers which i see no point in trying different beta drivers bioshock is ok as its an older game and a single 4870 handles it fine.
