I am getting random reboots on my system i have left everything at default except pbo and docp but it just randomly power cycles i am also running the latest bios 3003 my system specs are:

Crosshair viii hero x570
Corsair rm850i
4 x 8gb ddr4 3600 gskill neo
5900x
Rtx 3080 fe

Think a few people have had this recently including me.
I read that it may be a bios issue where some of the defualt memory voltage settings are being read incorrectly.

I only see it happen at low demand, IE idle in desktop or after returning to desktop after gaming.

Here's a few things I tried on my 5950x with x570 Tomahawk which stopped my random idle reboots. Not sure which one did it or if all contributed.

Disabled C-States
Did not use XMP memory settings for my 3200 speed RAM, set manually and with FLCK 1600.
Changed PCI-E lane speeds from Gen4 to Gen3.

Not had a single issue like this on my setup..

Asrock X570 Taichi bios 3.80
32gb Gskill TridentZ RGB 3600 C16 xmp profile, 4x8gb sticks
Autos 3080 Master at stock in Auto pcie mode
5900x PBO +200mhz
Arctic Liquid Freezer 2 420mm
Superflower Leadex Platinum 1000w

Im probably going to switch off PBO though as it seems to do nothing really.

But not had a single issue with anything, no blackscreens, cold reboots or any random reboots etc

I'm new to ryzen is it just the global C states I need to disable or are there others?

Ram seems stable i spanked it with memtest and got no errors

I have disabled global c states and df c states in bios and changed power supply idle voltage from low to normal.

Let's see if this makes any difference

I have no idea what’s wrong with these cpus, I have thrown every stability test I know at it and it’s passed them all, yet if I leave it idling sometimes it will be fine for hours and other times it will black screen or crash when it’s on my screensaver, I have not turned off PBO to see of that can help, I have done all the tips above and nothing has worked

Are you running 4 sticks of memory, I am and im wondering if thats part of the problem also with 4 sticks do I need to increase the memory voltage and VDDSOC voltage

Yes im running 4 sticks, I think it’s something to do with bios as it was fine last week, but I can’t really be sure though because it’s only the last few days my pc has been left on as I normally switch it off until I need it

Yeah I've not touched pbo either, these bioses are an absolute mess AMD need to get their sh@# together they have surpassed intel in everything except drivers and bios stability never had issues like this on intel

I've seen a few accounts of this and it seems to be RAM related. Is it just set at XMP? How long did you run the memtest for?

My RAM passed hours of memory testing when overclocked, but spat out thousands of WHEA errors. Have you checked for WHEA errors?
