My current setup is enough for what you want. I often have multiple browsers with literally hundreds of tabs open. i7-2600K OCed to 4.8Ghz 24/7 since I bought it + only 8GB ram. And HD7990.

Yeah my machine is fantastic, but owning a 4K monitor and playing games at 1080p is not funny anymore

One of the reasons I am going with the Deluxe II is that it is the most popular of the Asus line, which means much of the bugs and kinks should be pretty much sorted. It also has better connectivity and is very closely matched with Asus's workstation grade motherboard the E-WS.
If you want the absolute best you might want to go the the Rampage V Extreme. One of the things I looked at were top scores for 3DMark 11, and almost all of the top ten spots for performance with 2x gpu were taken up by a combination of 5960x and Rampage V Extreme. The only other board I saw in the top ten that was not RVE was the Deluxe. I've used this test as I am intending to do quite a bit of 3D work on the machine so it was suitable for me, but you can use other tests or change the number of gpu to suit your needs and see what the top performing machines had.

Never used that board before but i do have currently have a high end gigabyte board and do think its great. If i needed a board i would buy the SOC champion, but its all personal preference really.
