Canon really should fix that SD card thing in a firmware update....
Actually this is a good thread to ask another question...
If you have the 5D3 set to write duplicate files to each card, what happens if one card fills before the other - will it continue to write just to the card with space or stop working altogether?
EDIT: Ignore me, actually RTFM'd and it stops.

Yes, it stops, showing it is full.
You can also set it to display from CF or SD when press Play.
You can also set it to display from CF or SD when press Play.
The controller itself is the limitation, not in firmware.
