5G router advice

Hi all,

My mother has terrible internet speeds where she lives and we've explored the idea of a 5G router and unlimited data sim plan. Has anyone got any experience of this and can suggest a 5G router and sim plan? It's all new to me but she needs something workable she can't even watch YouTube currently she gets around 2MBPS download speeds.

Smarty do an unlimited data sim for £20 a month, with no contract. I used one for a couple weeks after a house move in a spare phone that I left up by the window with its hotspot turned on (so I can't help with which router to go for).

Worth keeping in mind that some normal routers eg the Eero line can pickup a hotspot and use that as the 'broadband'.

And also worth checking if she would get coverage when picking your SIM. Smarty runs on the 3 network.
