Do OcUK or anyone else know if orders shipped today are being delayed by 1 day?

Just checked my parcel earlier I ordered today and DPD's tracker claimsit may or is going to be delayed due to 'severe weather'.. It's a bit of bloody wind.. Really?! I mean we had a quick blast of snow earlier but it didn't settle.. I've taken time off work tomorrow to wait in for this parcel.. I usually love DPD's service but really, wind is now severe weather? Not impressed!

You never know, I may be having a good moan now and that is just a cautionary message and my parcel will turn up tomorrow still!? (wishful thinking)

It's snowing in parts of England although this is something you should post in the customer service section

Not much they can do about it really though is there? :p Was just curious if all orders were delayed or just select ones dependant on sorting depot. I'm sure the path from OcUK to Grimsby is pretty clear and no 'severe' weather..

Was hoping it was just a generic cautionary message. We shall see tomorrow I guess! :(

Just to point out, the hub for the deliveries may be in an affected part! They do not drive direct from the store to your house :p

That is the status until it is received at the distribution depot and physically logged into the couriers system. So if you get that email it confirms the item has been packed and will be shipped that day for which ever delivery option you chose.

Do they not? Damn, there's no service at all these days :p

I will too add my praise of DPD. Last parcel I got delivered by them from Overclockers I got an email to say parcel would be delivered between 1.20pm and 2.20pm and what happened? They only turned up at 1.15pm, 5 minutes early!! I tell ya, I was straight on the phone :D:D

Overclockers used to use SCity Link and they used to be very good here but in recent years have gone right down hill, around here. Failing to deliver on the day, then saying there was no one in (I know when a van has been in the yard) followed by the driver had too many parcels for 3 days  Day 4 they promised to deliver and didn't and by day 7 rung the firm up and told them delivery would not be accepted and would be ordering elsewhere. Fairness to the company concerned they were dreadfully sorry and I did relent and they resent the order via Royal Mail SD and arrived next day before noon. They also said they were going to review their couriers as I wasn't the first to complain. Nothing worse than hanging about for a courier that doesn't show. All this nothing to do with Overclockers I'll point out.

I've dealt with Overclockers for a good few years and they may not always be the cheapest but have never had anything but top class service and that is worth a lot these days.

Overclockers, stick with DPD, they're great :D

Can I have my discount now.... :D:D

Ditto. Arrived on time. I was worried by the tracking system stating a 1 day delay, but apparently only certain areas are affected by the weather. If it's not snowing things should be fine and on time.

dpd have always delivered on time for me well the time they give in the email :p

It's not the company themselves just depends on which depot it is as services will vary

Generalyy they're pretty good, but they're menaces on the road. Got cut up on a slip road the other day by one and when I flashed him and eventually passed him, he gave all sorts of gesticulations and the tailgated me etc.

I know, I'd already considered where the sorting & local depots are. No severe weather at all. :p

Regardless, my original post is irrelevant! DPD have been fantastic and not let me down today! My delivery today was bang on time. My ETA was 13:47-14:47 and good 'ole Steve the driver was banging on my door at 13:48.. :D

Love DPD. :)
