Try it on a casio calculator. I think the issue comes from the number next to the bracket.

6/2(1+2) on a calculator looks like 6/(2(1+2)), however is 2(1+2) actually 2*(1+2) or (2(1+2)).

Also, if you want to be really retarded you can say
6/2(1+2) = 6/2+4 = 7
