Ok downloaded these new ones and yea an improvement in 3dmark 05

and look at my temps!

so all in all a good performance increase! broke 12k to, well impressed.

And still no support for 1680x1050 res on 24" widescreen lcd's...

This makes this X1900 XT-X card just about useless for me..

Never heard of that card before, perhaps you should have bought an X1900XT-X instead?

Why don't you just use Rivatuner to force the res?

Great stuff! I got an increase from 9576 to 9838 in 3dmark 05 with my x1800xt pe! I went from omega 6.1, so maybe omega 6.2 will be even better. But a great leap in performance anyhow! :D

cheers for heads up

It's needs to be in the ati drivers for games to support that res..

Like now all i can choose in games is 1920x1200...

If ati put it in the drivers like nvidia do then you be able to choose 19200x1200 or 1680x1050...(1680x1050 is the standard 20" widescreen res)

also an increase in 3d mark 06

Looks like ati did a good job on the all round performance with these drivers!

still dont like the CCC much though!

Wait a sec. I just bought a 20" monitor today, default res 1680x1050. I've a 1800xt so what does that mean? Will i be able to run the monitor at the proper res?

Tried these cats 6.2 out and got:
"03" 18813
"05" 11156
"06" 5116
deffo an improvement over earlier on today. Thats at 689 core/779 memory and hitting 88c on load, so its bit toasty. Bit disappointed with the "06" score there though, I think it could be the cpu score, I only got 968 in that, not sure though. Still, early days yet, and it'll only get better.
