6.9's are out

I think that was just a slip up with the 6.8 release, they are actually the real 6.8s, they just forgot to update the version number.

Cheers Minstadave. I did reinstall the 6.8s and they still said 6.7 so I just left it.

Yeah ATi already said they were the 6.8s, just one simple number change from a 7 to an 8 was not done as if they did change the 7 to an 8 they would have had to have delayed them again for another week or so as they would have had to have sent them off to be WHQL'D all over again, so rather than delaying them for pressing delete and typing 8 then sending em back off for the whole WHQL process again they didnt bother and just released em.

doesnt help i have a drop of black iant on my screen. makes the faces look like they ahve huge blackheads

Thanks for notifying me These have fixed the artifacting I have been getting in WoW so its all good. Ill run some bench's tomorrow.

Does anybody elses 6.9s have some sort of graphics detection window pop up at startup?

Says something along the lines of "Catalyst Control Centre cannot work properly until SMARGART has detected optimal graphics settings."

While this isnt a major concern [as I plan to go back to using ATiTool soon] but just wondered if anyone else has it. It's more to do with it taking about a minute than it doing it at all. Also would me killing off the CCC runtime service in order to run ATiTool instead cause aggro at startup?
