Except for Japan, HK, Singapore and S. Korea can give you fast speeds and not tiny caps while still being cheap.
Even Verizon FIOS in USA is not _that_ expensive and no cap.

and America has the same problems as us and many of those countrys have been subsidised by the government. so :p

We subsidised BT in the past, and probably still give them some money now

There is no need to raise taxes to fund this, just make savings elsewhere and cut wasteful spending

yes in the past, that technology was never designed for this.

We need this roll out so either

a) you pay tax and government gets contractors in
b) you remove monopoly laws and allow BT to charge a decent amount and you don't have the competition, they have now.

You choose. Option B is not going to happen so yes we do need his tax.

This is the government as much as I would love government to spend less it's not going to happen.
