6 Core Mac Pros - Next Tuesday

The Mac Pro move to gulftown was pretty much a given but what graphics card will they use? Fingers crossed for ATI 5*** so my Hackintosh project can be completed + Fermi looks to hot and power hungry for Apple anyway.

Nothing will tempt me from my wonderful 2008 Mac Pro 2.8GHz-octo (with educational discount), unless perhaps the exchange rate takes a turn for the better one day and Apple reflect it.

Apple *apparently* bought up a load of 5750s earlier in the year so with their track record I'd guess that would be the stock offering for either the iMac or the MacPro (probably with an upgrade to a 58** option in the MacPro's case). With the recent Steam announcement I'd be interested to see if Valve recommended a (graphics card) manufacturer to Apple as that could have a bearing on things.

Would have one myself if it wasn't for the fact the VT-x or VT-d support on OS X is broken!

Shame really!

Well as the store's down 'if' they're refreshing hardware that will likely mean X.6.3 is imminent :cool:

Anyone on a Mac now care to hit software update?
