No, can you request those things? He was done for 38 in a 30 first time and 59 in a 50 this time.

He'll be fine then. 59 in a 50 is well within the threshold for a course, so all he needs to do it return the paperwork and he should get an offer, which will mean he avoids getting another 3 points.

Licence start date on my licence is ages after I passed my test, I wonder if that matters?

The entitlements should show the valid date as the date that you passed, are you not looking at the issue date of the actual card?

I went through a newly erected (by my employer) no entry sign in a company van when making a delivery after following a misleading sign in a private car park. Police were running a sting operation that day. Talking my way out of that one wasn't an option. Ooops.

Luckily I did get an awareness course offer so no insurance hit.

I was just thinking the same - would they have any authority to do this?

Does that mean I can go to my nearest Tesco and stick a no-entry sign on the entrance and then anyone who drives through it is breaking the law?

Through the 50mph section (southbound) this little yeller terror came blasting past at over a ton.

Right on his butt was another car... With an amber coloured LCD sign in the back window.. Which read...

About a minute later as I turned onto the A50 next to Britannia Stadium - alighting from his "yeller terror" with the plain clothes cop car parked behind him was a balding dude with a "Oh sheet I'm banned" look on his face !
