6 years...

Congratulations. You have years to look forward to of people at parties asking you about their latest hypochondriac ailment. ;) :D

You also get to enjoy alternating stories in the Daily Mail about how doctors are paid too much and that there aren't enough of them (depending on which month it is). Enjoy! :D

Congratulations, my daughter is three years behind you so I know the amount of work that it takes.

Thanks all!

So yes, I can now use the title Dr, which I intend to because it cost me 70k+.
Starting as an F1 next month - paediatrics, general surgery then respiratory
Grad ball tonight, dinner jacket is being dusted off, then a few beers!

Well done, Doc. My own doctorate is in Chemistry but I still get people at parties asking me about their hemorrhoids.

Just for the thrill of it, go into your bank (preferably one on a uni campus) and tell them you want to change your title to Doctor. I did this and the change from "Oh joy, another penniless student" to "Oh, DOCTOR B, do sit down. Can I get you a coffee?". :D

It definitely helps for hotel checkins, flight bookings etc.

I changed my bank cards to Dr but its a mixed response because so many people don' really understand and it gets tiresome saying you don't work at a hospital and you dont care that the checkout girls aunt's cousins, best friend is a pediatrician.

Well done Tres, a lot of dedication.

Congrats! :D I'll be applying for grad med after my PhD is complete.

How does one go about changing everything to the Dr title, is there an official way to do it so you're automatically defaulted with the Dr title. If that makes sense
