Hi guys. Im after a gaming pc possibly based around the fx 6300. I know all about intel whooping amds harris' but i dont think i can stretch the i5 3570 nor do i want a dual core i3 so thought meet in the middle at a fair pricepoint. I was after mitx build but am3+ itx boards seem far and few between. I'll settle for matx if possible or a small midi case, i have a lady to please so nothing to big or nasty sitting in the front room apart from myself ofc :p
Its a gaming build that needs to be able to handle bf3 on highest settings. I wish also to overclock it.
Dont need OS or peripherals just the pc.
Hope you guys can help.

Oohh buts its dual core :((( hehe just wondering how itll do online on bf3. I like the build dont get me wrong but i heard that not many games make good use of its 'invisible' extra virtual cores. Maybe spec a z mobo for future i5 upgrade for oc? Definatly a no go with the fx6300 then?

New i'd opened a can of worms when i asked for an amd build. The ol' intel v amd war makes skynet look like childs play :/
Thanks for the input guys. Loving the size of the intels i3 in the prodigy but stuck on the power of the fx paired with the 7950. Making a decision has never been so hard hehe. Some great builds indeed for the cash.

To the OP, if you wanted the Piledriver 6 core Chip and to give yourself the best overclocking potential you would ideally want to go for a 990fx motherboard.

Unfortunately there is no mATX board in the 970 or 990 range of boards.

Your options would be to go for a full ATX board... you can still get some sleek and nice midi-case's that perhaps would fit in the living room.

You could go with a mATX board in the 700 series of boards, you would get overclocking out of it, but not a great deal and it wouldn't exactly be ideal!

Also if you were lucky you might beable to find a board in the 800 series of boards still floating about, there were a lot of boards with the 880 chipset that offered some good overclocking potential but you would find it hard to find one!

Such as the asrock 880gm-LE FX?
