Hi there. Looking for advice on the best rig I can build for £600. Looking to use it for gaming. Everything will be needed (except monitor,keyboard,mouse) including an OS. Thanks

You can use a VGA=DVI adapter that comes included with the cards.

The R9 290/290X are examples of modern cards where a VGA analog monitor will not work as they only pass digital signals through.

Would that build work with the motherboard switched to a

Asus M5A78L-M/USB3 AMD 760G (Socket AM3+) DDR3 MicroATX Motherboard

and the case to

Zalman Z11 Plus Midi Tower Gaming Case - Black?

I wouldn't be changing motherboard, the one you have suggested uses a very old chipset.

Changing case won't be an issue
