Ok I need a

CPU Thinking i5 2500
MB
8GB Ram
SSD 60gb
If possible a Nvidia gpu 570 (This can wait until Jan but if can be done please tell me)

Looking for best build within budget. I wont spend more than £150 on a motherboard just seems wrong to me. Also would like USB3 on board not back panel.

Normally I have no trouble with specs but with the fail of bulldozer decided to switch to intel. But Know nothing about intel.

I noticed that intel chips have
Integrated HD 2000 Graphics
Integrated HD 3000 Graphics
anyone able to explain what this is?

Budget can be stretched to £700 if you include a gpu

You can easily fit a 128GB SSD in budget also.

Wont need a cooler have a frio that does me great :). Also any good alternatives to MSI MB prefer ASUS or GIGA. Last MSI I got I ended up throwing out the window. Also seems the USB3 are only on back panel.

This is a good board - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB-360-GI&groupid=701&catid=5&subcat=1990

The reason I suggested the MSI is so that you get PCI-E3.0 for Both 16X length slots when an ivybridge CPU is installed and you fit a PCi-E3.0 GPU whenever they are released, as it has Gen3 PCI-E switches.

With the above motherboard only the top 16X length slot gets PCI-E3.0@8X as its connected directly to the CPU socket by 8 of the lanes, the other 8 lanes go through switches that send these to the top slot to make 16X or when a second graphics card is detected (these switches are not Gen3), then they are sent to the second slot to give you SLi/Crossfire @8X/8X

If SLI/Crossfire is something that you dont care about? then this - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB-364-GI&groupid=701&catid=5&subcat=1990

Will have a full PCi-E3.0 @16X for the top slot as all 16lanes go direct from the cpu socket to the slot with no switches.

Reviews of this cheaper are board are here,

Sold on the msi board the thing that put me off tbh was not that have bad history with them was because I could not see front panel usb support checking the msi webpage says it has it.

Also with regards to the ssd any reason to stay away from the OCZ Agility 3 same price yet its faster description says.

The vengeance ram is fugly would the xms3 be ok?

The M64 SSD drives are more reliable and the last firmware 009 boosted performance more than the specs say.

Anything corsair/Kingston.

The Vengeance white is the cheapest low profile 1600MHz 8GB kit, and 1600Mhz with modest timings is perfect for Sandybridge.

Theres this - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-299-CS&groupid=701&catid=8&subcat=1517 - if you can fit it to the board with your heatsink, you can also use the 2nd+4th dimm slot away from the cpu socket to give more room.

Ok all sorted now then thanks for yer help. Going with the XMS3 Ram as the white vengance would stick out like a sore thumb in my HAF x.

Thanks for yer help I shall put the order in 2moz :).
