Okay my 8800 has a dry solder joint and many other problems so bought a 6233 after reading all the reviews and what you all had to say!

Well i noticed the other day after sending a txt it'd go to a white screen and takes ages to come back! Sucks cos i txt a lot.

Also when charging it'd randomly bleep and say on charge, anyoing when it's at 4:20am!

Switched it off and back on, took forever to load!

It stopped doing any conectivtiy, IR and BT, which made me mad!

Anyway i've gotten everything off it and left it. Come to use to order some bits and bobs, put it down fine.

Go to get food, come back, dead, nowt on the screen or anyhting. Won;t switch off or on! Even plugged to the laptop it's not doing anyhting, even on charge!

I'm gonna go storm into 02 and have a word as i'm not happy!

Paid £169.99 and still awaiting my £15 back for an upgrade and loal customer crap thing!

Anyone eles got these problems? It's only 12 days old, done 1 hour of dial, 72 of recieved, message log has gone round the clock on both already! Think it only goes to 1k!

Mines been fine since june, sound like you have a dud one, just send it back i cant imagine they would argue with you!

No point 'storming into O2', it's not their fault. How about going in there and acting like a rational human being?

Okay i went in and said i bought the phone last saturday and that it's died and is there anyhting they can do. Polietly!

They gave me a new phone on the spot all boxed, mine was handset only. This one was black! I wanted black too!

They even copied everything over for me!

Problem, used it a lot last night 4 hours of calls, 500+ txt and it's playing up now even! Menu has gone all funny, doing the switching off, white screen crash job.

So gonna go back today. This phone is starting to suck!

I've been reading this evening that lots of people are having the white screen reset/crash problem with the 6233.

Got the 6234 here (vodaphones version of same phone).
Been using it for a month and no white screens/crashes yet tbh!

Ive only had white screen 2 times on my 6233 - and its not been a problem as Ive got white screen for less than 2 seconds and its rebooted itself back to menu screen - both times its been when Ive been playing an mp3 and tried to look at a video at same time.

500+ texts in a night?!

Ok lets say a night is 5 hours long - so you sent 100 texts every hour - which mean's 1.6 texts every minute - man the phone is worn out!

EDIT- also noticed you made 4 hours of calls too! Maybe theres no fault to phone - you just have radiation sickness and you seeing things!

I'd say if you did that to any phone it has every right to crash!

It amazes me how the complaints nearly always seem to come from people who have handsets they bought from a network rather than sim free. It says a lot about network specific firmware. I always buy sim free, and had no problems with either my N80 or 6233. Generic Nokia firmware seems to work just fine.

Well O2 don't dump **** on their phones unlike orange.

O2 don't brand their phones as far as I am aware of...

Just standard Nokia firmware I believe
