Going to go conroe,at last :D

6300/6400 or 6600 c2d

What to go for,it will be going under water,so hoping for a decent overclock.

Is the 6600 worth the extra ?

Rob

I've not picked out a board yet,but was looking at the DS3 or 4 or the P5B Deluxe. Will be ordering tonight or tomorrow

I certainly will be overclocking the nuts of it,i hope :D Will be running with 6400 corsair

So better to go with the 6400 then, you reckon ?

Thanks guys,

Rob

I'd go for the 6400 (better for overclocking because of the multiplier) and use the rest on Ram(you can't have enough).

Excatly what I have, though getting 500FSB is a pain (for me anyway) and requires a lot of extra volts over 3.33-3.4Ghz so i've stuck with 3.33 for now which is plenty fast enough (16s SuperPI :p )

well as intel have released a statement saying so i'd presume yes, if i could be bothered i would dig it out for you but i can't! i'm pretty sure someone else can clear this up for me? also iirc the newer lower powered c2d's that will be coming out are going to be codenamed allendale

How much more vcore is needed for 500fsb?
