Nope it's a valid point. With more hardware and apps that use more resources, we need to see increases in battery life etc.

Should I just say sod it and get a Nexus 5. Surely, even if this happens, they arent going to drop support for the device to the next version of Android.

I mean 5 assuming it comes in Oct. (Or whenever the Nexus 6 is launched)

Nexus 5 will keep getting updates, you are safe.

At least 2 more OS updates anyway.
