£641 on buying games from steam in 12 months

Reading back in my list... theres about 4 games i paid full price for that i wish i hadn't bothered tbh. Overlord II, Prototype, Dawn of War II, Bad Company 2. Over the last year theres been plenty of purchases but mostly for £3-£8. Main expenses were Mass Effect 2 and Dragon Age DDEs.

In the last 12 months I've managed to spend hardly anything on Steam, mainly because I've only bought games on really good sales. I'd be surprised if I've spent more then £30 if I'm honest, yet still have a couple left to install and play

since iv had steam i must have spent about £100 max, thats orange box, lost planet, css, hl collection, mw2, napoleon, left4dead.

i spend way more on xbla i think....

I’ve had my Steam account since 2004. My total purchases are –

£149.36

+

£29.99 for Half Life 2 retail in 2004.

Total steam sales –

£179.35.

So, if you take this figure and divide by number of years active on Steam –

6 years divided by £179.35 = £29.89 per year on average. Lol Hmmm not really Valves best customer… Oh well. Still got plenty of games to keep me happy for a while…

So check your purchase history on your account :p

Mines been about 500 pound the past 2-3 years. Even then i still have too many to play. I owuld say more the half of them games have been bought in a sale of some sort.

I wouldnt say its too bad and its a lot cheaper then say smoking.

So basically you can aford to buy anything thats decent and new, lucky you.
No..............

I wait till there price is reduced in the steam sales before buying them....;)

I spent just under £170 from 2004 and have about 96 games :)

If you consider I spent about £60 on Crysis Warhead and Mess Effect 2 as I got them when they come out, then £110 for 94 games is not so bad ;)

chaparral - How many games you got on your steam account?

That's a fair amount, I wonder how many games you have?

£40.26 here and I've had my Steam account since 2003 :p (Only used to play CS ^_^ )

Think I have spent about 30 quid, that's 14 odd games during various sales.

Have only cpmpleated 1 game, and played about 20 or so mins of the rest.

I tried that Steam calculator but it only found 40 games?

Yeah, it's not 100% accurate probably because Valve / Steam have changed tons of their packages over the years which include free games and such! I'm guessing the calculator gets confused :D
