65" for £1000

We have a fairly old 55" samsung in the living room. IIRC it was the first HDR1000 set they released, so probably 5-6 years old now (edit: it's actually 7 years old).

Seriously considering a 65" LG C2 to replace it with.

What amazes me about technology is that a modern 65" weights less than a older 55" :eek:

Samsung 55" KS7000 - 17.2kg
LG 65" C2 - 14.8kg

Does that include the weight of the stand? Ive got an LG CX 65 and it felt heavier than 15kg.

That's without stand. The weight difference between a C1 and C2 is massive though, the C2 is much lighter.


The 65-inch C2 we're testing, with stand, weighs just 16.5kg, whereas the equivalent C1 weighs 32.6kg – roughly double.
