£650 gaming spec pls

Hey new acc not new to forum been a while since I was here tho. Its been over a year since I had a pc now, 2600k gtx 680 8gb ram was the last one so im a little out of practise with the new hadware. Im just looking for a decent intel gaming system that will play current and upcoming games on this ..

Your old pc is great you won't get anything better for your budget.. Unless your just wanting to upgrade it? Though there's not a huge amount you can do with it.

Yeah, I'd keep your old PC. A GTX 680 is marginally faster that a 270x anyway.

Why do you want to upgrade? The TV is 1080p so, with a 680, I don't see any problems. You'll be able to max out most games.

Agree with others, your current system is fine as is, worse case add a SSD .

Isn't a 770 a re-branded 680? and a 270x a re-branded 7850?

R270X is a rebranded 7870.
770 is just a 680 rebrand.

The benchmarks in both of the links you have provided show the 270 had less fps than the 680 in every game they benched.

It's not a marginal difference is my point.
The R9 270X is a 7870, the 680 was going up against the 7970.

If you don't actually have the build or any parts from it any more (not sure why you'd let such an awesome system go) then pipson's build looks damn straight. I'd drop the SSD for now and get an NZXT source 210, cable extensions or a different PSU like an Antec, Silverstone, Seasonic (BeQuiet PSUs have really short cable for some reason although they are reliable as anything). As pipson pointed out; for £650, Intel ain't the best of ideas... js.

For 700 quid I managed a 4670K with GTX670 and 128GB SSD for a build for Christmas, 8GB RAM too.

Although had I waited even longer, probably could have made it a little better.

Neighbours kid had been waiting a gaming PC for ages, and his mam finally approached me to do it lol.
