£650 gaming spec pls

Ok. For £700, you can get this beast. It's not ideal as there's no SSD, GPU isn't custom cooled (if you drop down to a 6 core piledriver then a custom cooled 770 could be swapped in) and the colour scheme is a bit mismatched but hey. It's a beast.

I just got them all on deals, the i5 4670K cheaper than the 4670 at the time as it was on a super deal, so I just got a H81 board, that's possibly the only thing I skimped on.

For example this PSU here ; https://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-053-EN

Is what I put in the rig, I think I got it at 55 quid.

So, as for future upgrades go, all the kid needs to do is get a Z87 board and a cooler, he can overclock and probably throw a second GTX670 in there :p

Even the SSD was a Sammy 840.

Ha, the difference between the H81 board and a Z87 is 40 quid (So even then, I could have went cheaper slightly on the PSU, lowered SSD, got a 1TB HDD and managed it), but making it so changing the board in the future meant he could make his CPU go faster, and add a second GPU, all with what he currently had made the most sense.

Thanks for the info so far getting a lil sidetracked tho :)

My last system was a beauty but had to get rid that was over a year ago. I have a max budget of 650 to get everything and would preffer to get everything from here. I dont mind using clearance items either.

ive never been a fan of amd cpus but not a fanboy of intel just prefer them and can work with them better.

The tv is 75 inch would that mean a beefier gpu is needed?

I only need this for now as im coming into £20k+ after braking both legs, shoulder and other minor injuries so will be changing the dining room into a games room.

but yeah anyway mainly for gaming. Maybe a 7870xt wud be good foe 1080p?

Ive found a vtx 3d 7870XT 2GB for 134.00 and also 7850 2gb saphire for 84.99 how would crossfire fair I had gtx680 sli for a time and even wuth some micro stuttering it didnt bother me.

I would say go for it but the 7870s do have some issues in xfire so ehhh not so sure tbh. They'd be fine on their own for 1080p (the TV may be 75 inches and over 2 grand but it's still 1080p) on high settings and 4xAA in most games but xfire is a bit risky as I've seen a few people get a solid 4fps in a few select games with xfire enabled. You could just disable xfire and enjoy great frame rates the rest of the time but I'd spend more on one decent card tbh. My personal choice is nvidia (just out of preference) but if you want to go AMD then that's fine. Make your choice :)

Was trapped by a forklift at work snapped my legs like toothpicks crazy stuff although the morphine was a bonus ^-^

Yea just looking for a 2500k/3570k/4670k build as either will be suitable for my needs. I plan to trade out the 75" for 85" as the main screen for couch gamig and movies. Then will be calling into store for adive in the system that would be needed for surround gaming wireless speaker setup etc. Will make sure to do a.build log will be setting aside £5k + what I get for my 75" sure can come up with something nice.

So yeah any intel specs pls as I want to buy it today.

thanks

Intel will cost you a bit more, but I also includeed a 1TB Hard Drive and an SSD for windows and a few programs:

If you want faster, then I'd go for a R9 280x or if you want faster for a few less than a 280x, then a GTX 760.
