Buy the ASUS 790GX mobo (which I think might be currently out of stock) which comes in about £90 right? Thats £40 quid more you have to play with, and put that towards the 4890. To be honest, unless youre gonna be gaming at 1900x1200 or thereabouts, that is complete overkill though

I may just stick to a 4870 as i only use a 19 inch monitor at the moment. Its just that this comp will have to last me a few years and i may hook it up to my tv or get a new monitor at some point.Decisions,Decisions lol :)
There is a 790 gx in stock for £98 so a defo saving there then.Just isnt much of a product spec for it or any reviews :(

Ive just checked the MB on another site and this is what it says for the cpu support
Max CPU Support
AMD Phenom II X3 720
AMD Phenom II X4 810
AMD Phenom II X4 925

I assume that this is an older review before the 955 came out .

Yeh, thats an AM3 mobo and will take any AM3 chip. If you feel like it, Id stretch out for a better HDD, with 32mb cache maybe. WD Caviar black 500GB is around £45 I think.

The 300 comes with two, one on top, and one at the back. One more where you stick your HDD will be quite useful I guess. But if youre only using one HDD, you dont NEED another fan at the front.

AM2+ CPUS will not fit in AM3 boards.

The ASUS M3A79-T is a fantastic AM2+ mobo and is selling for £90 on another well known etailer of computer hardware. Its a 790FX chipset and is basically a bargain.

Mmmm I wonder which one.. I have checked and cannot find which one you are talking about??!! :-)

well here is a nice setup went £6 ish over budget but worth it i think.
