Thinking of getting the, Corsair TX 650W ATX2.2 SLi Compliant PSU, for powering:
Q6600 OC 3.0-3.4Ghz
1x Asus GeForce EN8800 GT TOP 512MB GDDR3 HDTV/Dual DVI
1x Western Digital Caviar SE16 500GB SATA-II 16MB Cache
1x Pioneer DVR-212D 18x18 DVD±RW Serial ATA Dual Layer
1x GeIL (4x1GB) PC2-6400C4 800MHz Ultra Low Latency DDR2 Dual Channel
4x Fans
All hooked up to a, Abit IP35 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard
But then do i really need a 650W PSU for powering the above components. Would the Corsair HX 520W ATX2.2 Modular SLI Compliant PSU be sufficent and be ok for maybe adding another HD or GPU as somepoint in SLi?. My understand was (and im probably completely wrong here) that is you go for a higher watt PSU then if its not using so much power it shall be cooler, hence the 650W would be running cooler than a 520W PSU for the above components??
