I currently have a eVGA 7900GTX which is serving me well at the mo. I would love to upgrade but I'm unable to as I can’t fit a 8800 GTX in my case (without taking the HDD cage out  ). so my question is with the next set of cards expected in November with a new 65nm core size will this drop the size of the overall card or are they just going to get bigger and bigger??

Thanks. Al.

i've got the lianli s80 and the same problem. Heard the gtx won't fit because of the hd cage. have a 7950gx2 in there atm and it just about fits (power cable was really hard to fit as its mounted on the end of the card).

Not the desparate for an upgrade yet that I'd change cases so will wait and hope the gtx of the next generation isn't a monster as well!

Surely going from a 7900 GTX to the next cards in November would be a downgrade though as those cards are only the new 8600 range of cards, the high end G92's are not due till around January.

Same here, I love my case (SUGO SG01), it just looks so good in my living room. Don't want to have to go to a full ATX tower just to upgrade :(

Fingers crossed for the G92 :)

I heard end of Year Loadsamoney but link me up to prove me wrong. :)

I have a7900GTX also and it can run most stuff fine so I am waiting the new cards also before I upgrade.

Upgrading every generation isn't really required if you buy the top end. even with my 24" beast. :D

I really hope they try and squeeze a 9800GTX out by the end of the year. Oh the irony after what the 9700 and 9800 did for ATI. :p

But I guess we are all now feeling the lack of competition already if this is the case.
