Yes, definitely. All you have to do is follow the instructions from the vast array of knowledge on these forums and you can't go far wrong. You're all but guaranteed 3GHz from a 6420.

Overclocking isn't a difficult job but there are diminishing marginal returns when you start getting into the "pro" realm of water-cooling etc.

So you reckon even a novice overclocker could get a 6600 up to the 3Ghz mark?

yeah definitely. Just get a nice cooler like the Noctua

my 6700 conroe will do 3.35 without touching the volts as is rock solid couldnt tell you the batch number but was bought about sept 06
