What happened 06/06/1006?
Well - not so sure about 6th June but it seems like there was one disaster and one huge weird light in the sky that year.
1006 AD Mount Merapi volcano
Mount Merapi in Indonesia erupted with destruction so bad the governing Hindu kingdom was destroyed allowing the Muslim take-over of the island.

When I'd had my new car for just a few hour, the clock thing on it read 66.6 miles.
At that exact moment, the exhaust pipe fell off, the rear window broke, I got a puncture, the fluffy dice fell off the mirror, the ashtray overflowed and caused a tidal wave of ash, the radio stopped working and the engine stalled.
Once I pushed the car (luckily it was on a slight downward slope) an extra 0.1 mile so the clock read 66.7, everything suddenly mended itself and I was able to drive off again.
Strange things happen when the number 666 shows itself. Be aware.

Okay let me explain - 666 is the mark of the beast, the mark wont just come like that, their will be events and signs with encoded messages that only the wise will know (and in turn let the foolish know what it means )In two days time, the world could be coming to an end (that's the major speculation) or something terrible will happen, If the world do come to an end, you can redeem yourself prior to then by giving away all your worldly possesion so as to book yourself a seat to heaven.

Ok right. Well the way I see it is quite simple, whether I'm unwise or not. We have "survived" other superstitious dates in the past, and we will "survive" this one.
I think the wise, are the ones who don't get sucked in to the hype.
