You mean first mainstream 6 core for Intel. It's pretty much accepted at this point there will be 6/8 core Zen's long before Coffee Lake.

Yes,, but will it sell in high numbers? I see no need to upgrade any time soon. My 6700k will be fine until coffee lake.

If the price is right I think both Intel and AMD will shift a good amount of 6 core systems.
