6770 1gb upgrade

Some random youtube video doesn't mean they're all equal.

I'm not sure why HankScorpio won't give it up. Maybe a review?

"GTX 760 can genuinely be thought of as a GTX 670/660Ti in many ways though it loses an entire SMX unit that's home to 192 processors and 16 texture units. The new GPU makes up some of the performance shortfall by clocking at a higher frequency than the 6-series parts. Illustrating this point, the peak GFLOPS throughput is only nine per cent lower than a GTX 670.

The question then arises of why Nvidia would go to the trouble of having a new GPU that's ostensibly similar, albeit slower than the GTX 670; why not rebrand current cards, change specifications just a little, and reduce the price to partners and distributors? Well, the cynical approach is to say that Nvidia has done entirely this, because the GTX 760 is not much more than a core-restricted, higher-clocked GTX 670."

etc.

The only reason the 760 was received well because it was so much cheaper than a 670.

Cool video. They are basically identical bar 2fps variations.

Yep, buy which one you think is best for you. 670 is pretty cheap at the mo, can't see it going any higher in price, so don't see why people are rushing to get one. They look pretty similar to me, seen loads of benches and tech specs where the 670 comes out on top and lots of results from users and benches that show the 760 edges it.

Flip a coin, or buy a 7950 :)

People are rushing to get one because it's a stock clearance. They're end of life. Once these are gone there are no more. If you don't understand that a GPU with 192 more processors and 16 more textures units is better than the same GPU without, I give up.

the 670 performs slightly better than the 760 due to more processing power and is a decent amount cheaper and no worse for efficiency, temps or noise.

the 670 was cut down slightly to form the 760

the 680 was re branded and overclocked to make the 770

the 780 is the only new card
