6770 to 480?

Hi guys my friend is having some struggle playing Max Payne 3 on medium at 60 FPS with his current 1GB 6770.

He has a 1080p monitor, Quite a decent processor 2400, 8GB of Ram etc, however I literally just saw this -http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-021-PN&groupid=701&catid=1914&subcat=207 and I thought that could be a perfect upgrade for what he is wanting.

Reckon it's a good buy considering we could probably sell the 6770 for £50

...ont he plus side, with that old version of the 480 he won't need his heating on in his house during the cold winter months

The 480 would be a pretty good upgrade, however you should be aware that it uses a lot more power than the 6770. What power supply does your friend have?

Not great but it should work as long as he doesn't go overclocking it, he will also need 1 molex to 6 pin adapter, tho 1 usually comes bundled with GPU's.
