how you all feeling now? Personally, I only received my 680 last week, and had I known at the time i could have had a 670 by now, for ~£100 less and virtually the same performance, I'd of done it.

Slightly miffed to be honest, would have thought the prices would have been 10-15% less than a 680 if the performance is so close.

what do the rest of you think?

Poop happens, I got mine just the beginning of this week. Im not going to DSR it as shiping is expensive with insurance.

So never mind, we live and learn.

I am even more dissapoint, my GTX 670 only clocks to 1250 / 7300 and that isnt enough of a whooping over a stock GTX 680 :p

I wanted moar GTX 680 whooping, like a 1350 Mhz GTX 670 :(

Very happy with the 680, the second tier card is always 90% the performance for 75% the price, 670 is a little better than that at stock and clocks well so it is the gem.

Personally I would have saved £65 by waiting for the 670

Still very happy with my 680. OC's very well.

I never have regrets. I think the people who are regretting getting the 680 are the people who couldn't really afford the 680 to start with.

I'm very lucky having high disposable income.

Pointless threads, "what if's".....

I can see where 680 owners are coming from regarding feeling ripped off.
The 680's are being sold at £60-£80 above their RRP due to price gouging and short supply, all the etailers are making a killing(not blaming them, thats business 101).
Have not being tempted yet to upgrade from my 580,waiting for real Kelper as I have a feeling these 670/680 are only a stop gap for the next couple of months.
Saying that I dont think anyone with a 680 should be too gutted as they seem really good cards.Used to be a time a few years ago when I would have upgraded my GPU every 12 month's but as we know the games on pc are mostly poor console ports.
Anyway cheer up 680 owners you have the fastest/best gpu available at the moment and spare a thought for the people that can't afford the premium prices for these cards.

Good for you Axeman, should never have to justify getting the latest upgrade,it's your money. From reading the reviews of the 680 it seems like a really good gpu.

I paid £480 for a 7970 when they released, seems stupid expensive now but whats done is done and no point getting worked up about it

Agreed. I seriously don't think people should regret anything they buy unless they have constant problems with it.

If anybody regrets buying the 680 because of the prices of other GPU's...Welcome to PC Components. Where have you been for the last 10 years?

I don't think people realised that having part of the chip disabled would allow the 670's to boost relatively higher than the 680's which makes them so close.

+1

you knew the 670 was going to be coming out and by the time you ordered there would already have been rumours of what speeds they were going to be... you paid a premium to get the card early and to get that little bit extra performance... yes the 670 will OC to 680 levels, but a 680 will OC to over 1200mhz as well by all accounts so it is still the faster card

i suppose the difference between 570/580 and 670/680 was that the 570 had 1.25gb and the 580 1.5 which started to cause a difference but only really as the cards were going EOL anyway, this time round there's no difference in VRAM so it's purely down to raw FPS

the people that might be miffed would be 690 buyers who now see that they could buy a pair of 670 4GB for the same price or less and actually have a pair of cards better for 3 monitor setups

after how much you were raging that you needed a long PCB and 6+8pin when people like me were saying it's more down to silicon lottery, I'd call that justice :D:D

Still chuffed with my 680, just put it under H20 aswell so im getting decent clocks out of it and it's yet to break 50 deg c under load.

670 is a good buy for anyone buying now, but the 680 is still the king of single core cards!

No regrets at all from me. At the time I Bought the GTX680 the 670 was just a rumour with no word on pricing, availability or more importantly; guranteed performance.

If I was purchasing now I would buy the 670, but it wasn't around when I got my 680.

What boost clock where you getting before and after water cooling?

If it was only bought last week why not return it under dsr? Either way you were probably aware, that the 670 was due to be released on the 10th so why not wait?

680 owners should just enjoy their cards, no regrets.

And a fiver for a small tin of Varnish ey Mal? :D

ha ha

i just saw one online for 316 quid and it said including the VAT.... so i went to the check out and they slapped on the VAT, it suddenly appeared on the last page.... now this really does annoy me...... you see this type of thing all the time !!!!

the total price can quite often be minus the VAT, or refer to the 7950 instead, if you see a card that's too good to be true, it'll be due to this
