6800 temps

At idle as in just browsing net listening to music etc. Im seeing my core and ram on card at 55ish. I presume on load its about 30 more on top of them figures.

Was woundering if its considered cool, warm, hot etc.

Its a asus v9999 GE btw.

That sort of temperature is fine, it is about mid-range really. The cards are automatically set to throttle if they reach 120C, which is a bit too high for comfort but anything up to about 90C under load wouldn't worry me in the slightest.

yeahh u are alright..

my 6800gt used to idle at 49 and load at 69-72 with mem following close by.

when i watercooled it it dropped down to 35idle and 39 load
the amazing thing though was the fact that although the mem remained aircooled with simple aluminium heatsinks on... they never went over 52.
which means these huge heatsinks that have from stock... transfer heat from the core to the mem.

a small detail that not a lot know... u are much better with an aftermarket cooler like the one from zalman.. these small heatsinks that come along for the mems are more than enough. just make sure u have adequate ventilation inside ** case.
