680i C1 error code

1. 4gig, posted C1.
2. So I removed 2gig.
3. 2gig posted fine,
4. Flashed p30 to p31.
5. C1 error come back, even though 2 gigs.
6. Reset Cmos, no difference.
7. Removed 1gig, no difference.

What Now?

What ram do you have, a quick google points towards a possible incompatibility issue with corsair RAM, although, this is only a very quick google.

Could be a faulty stick, have you tried each stick seperately?

yes, tried all 4 sticks seperately, different combos. 2 sticks and old, 2 new.

Are you trying to run it 1t? Also, are they 2 different sets?

I had this same issue when I cleared my CMOS a few days ago. Turns out that the AUTO voltage setting for the RAM didn't agree with my Ballistix. Set it to 2.2V and the error has gone for good.

If you can get into you BIOS then change it, should resolve the issue. Good luck.
