6870 artifacts????

had a 6870 for a month or two now.
and its started to artifact in dirt 2 and i have had 2 flash of artifacts on desktop.

core clock: 850MHZ (supposed to be 900 but decresaed as card was running too hot)
mem: 1070MHZ

its an XFX non black edition refrence card.

any info would be appreciated

rma it (you shouldnt have to downclock it) go to retailer first though as i hear xfx is a pain to deal with directly

starting to think this might be either dirt 2 or my hdmi cable. as they are not constant just seem to be random and the card only runs at 60c max really.

Do you get the artefacts on other games or just Dirt 2?

have had the occasional one is starcraft 2 aswell but think that was down to when i got it, i clocked it to 975 and it got to hot cause i have a window mod so think that one was down to heat but didnt do it once i lowered.
only seems to happen in dirt 2 now
