6870 Crossfire

I need some advice, Im looking to buy a second 6870 to crossfire and im unsure if my power supply is good enough to power it. It is a OCZ 600W StealthxStream.

Should i buy a new PSU or will this work? Thanks.

Power consumption probably around 500W so you should be OK wattage wise.

What you really need from your PSU are four 6 pin PCI-E connectors and I believe your PSU only has two. You'd need to use 4 molex connectors with adapters for the other 2. Not ideal.

Also why 6GB of RAM on an i5 system? Aren't they all dual channel?

The OP won't need 2 of those as they'll come with the graphics cards.

My point was that using them is not the ideal way of powering the cards.
