infornt of my PC
I am going to buy a 6950 to replace my 8800gts 1gb. Though it is still going strong, it is the oldest component of my PC and I have £200ish for an upgrade.

I am also buying a 120hz 3D monitor though I understand that you can't 3D with ATI cards.

Is it worth spending the extra and going for the 2gb version or should I stay with the 1gb and save a few pounds? Is the an equivalent NV card that could utilise the 3d ?

I don't really do the hard core on line gaming on the PC (have an xbox for that), but now and then I like to play some intensive games like GTA IV.

To be honest if you are interested in playing 3D an nVidia card would be a better bet. The Asus 480 is £195 has 1.5Gb of Ram and is as good as the 6950(unlocked to 70) and faster when overclocked.

As already stated, definitely the 2gb MSI that can be unlocked for 197.99.

Its supposed to be going back up today so get on it very quickly!!

ok so if I go for nvidia its a similar consideration as poster elsewhere. 480 or 560.
I have never clocked a card before and normally run at stock settings.
