6950 help ?

After a lot of time researching i have found the ati 6950 to be the best card for the money i am prepared to spend , but i need some help on choosing what brand of card to choose, i have currently found the HIS 2gb model the be the cheapest but it is ? , and do i want an msi one so i can overclock or can i overclock on other brands , i also want a one with a bios switch if posible.
Any help would be great !

you can over clock all of the 6950s however the his ice q turbos dont have a dual bois swich, i have 2 and both are with out switch, hope this helps,however i will say they are cool quiet and fantastic cards

If you want to spend a bit more you can find a MSI 6950 2GB Twin FrozR III for £220, maybe less. Those cards have a BIOS switch.

The HIS cards are very good so if one isn't essential you won't be disappointed.

Hi and welcome to the forum.

Just because a card has the BIOS switch it doesn't guarantee you can unlock the extra shaders if that's what you're counting on.

Go for the sapphire below as with a flick of the bios switch it gives you 6970 speeds

There's no guarantee it unlocks the extra shaders though.

Fair enough there has been a few lately on the forum that have unlocked so fingers crossed I suppose as im installing two in the morning
