6970 crossfire shutdown pc

That's exactly what you need, good psu for a good price. Stick the other psu in another system that does not need high loads and a system that won't get to hot and it will run just fine.. You was really asking too much with crossfire with the PSU you have it's cheap for a reason ;) and perfect for a single card system.

i agree i was ignorent and didnt check any reviews i just asumed hmm coolermaster make good cases they must make a nice psu thats silent and cool loool
will hold on to it as i intend to build a second system when buldozer drops :D will stick the new psu and cards in the bulldozer system and just pick up another gpu for the 1090t i will use it for media center

The CPU HT can stay at default.
The CPU NB is important getting at least 2.8Ghz NB would be optimal.

i noticed putting my ht up to 2600mhz with a 3000nb i was getting a lot smoother gameplay like all stutters bottleneck went away but i will give it a shot at 2800mhz when i get my new psu, ouch just reminded myself the one i have is compleatly **** :(

3000 NB is even better but realistically many don't reach that level.

but if your saying that on your set-up lowering the HT was not as smooth then leave the HT @ 2600.
