• Competitor rules

Please remember that any mention of competitors, hinting at competitors or offering to provide details of competitors will result in an account suspension. The full rules can be found under the 'Terms and Rules' link in the bottom right corner of your screen. Just don't mention competitors in any way, shape or form and you'll be OK.

6970 has another new problem. Please help.

Regarding the reinstallation of Windows you don't need to do that. Just create a new partition using the Windows 7 disk manager and install Windows on that instead and you can do all that without reinstalling.

It's a pain but you need to rule out software issues, also try out your card on another machine if you can. I don't think this is driver realted (a common scrap goat for when things go wrong with AMD video cards) because if it were then there would be threads all over the place with people having similar issues.

Once i create a partition for windows what do i do? Sorry but i am rubbish with these sort of things

If you are a little inexperienced for this I wouldn't do it. Best idea IMO would be to just get another drive, borrowed if you can, if not buy one and it can be an extra storage device after you have reinstalled and done your testing on the GPU.

Remove the old drive, pop the new one in and setup windows, when you are done testing etc, format it. Then drop the old drive back in and use the new drive as a slave for backups etc, or just give it back to your kind mate you borrowed it from... simples,

J.
